Planning go-ahead for much-needed new homes at Hampton Water

- 21 Aug 18

House builder Bovis Homes will deliver 327 much-needed new homes at Hampton Water, Peterborough, after plans were approved by the local council.

The homes will form part of a wider 1,700 home Hamptons East development, which will also include community, leisure, industrial and commercial areas. The Bovis Homes site is situated to the south of the development, close to lakes and areas of public open space.

James Shuttleworth, Technical Director at Bovis Homes’ Northern Home Counties location, said: “We’re delighted to have received planning permission for these homes and to be part of this exciting mixed-use development. We’d like to thank the Peterborough City Council and the local community for their engagement and cooperation throughout the process. We are now looking forward to delivering these homes.”

Among the 327 properties, Bovis Homes will deliver 16 homes designated as affordable properties to be managed by a housing association, alongside a range of one and two-bedroom apartments and two to five-bedroom houses.  Work on site is expected to start this autumn, with the first residents moving in during 2019.
