Plans for new school by Windsor Park now submitted

- 10 Feb 14

Plans for a new primary school on London Road in Buckingham, which will have places for more than 200 children, have been submitted by a group of homebuilders, including Bovis Homes, to Aylesbury Vale District Council.

The school, which is scheduled to open in 2015, will have a 26 place onsite nursery, playing fields and car parking.  There will also be a separate community hall with a committee room, shower and changing facilities and vehicle parking.

The planning application was submitted to the local council by a consortium of homebuilders, including Bovis Homes, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, which is currently building a total of 700 homes at the Windsor Park development next to the proposed six hectare school site.

"Windsor Park is quickly becoming a thriving new part of the Buckingham community, with a number of growing families moving in to take advantage of this excellent location," said Bovis Homes Regional Project Manager Simon Bridge.

"And while new communities are built around homes and people, they also need excellent modern facilities which meet residents' needs, and we believe the plans submitted by the consortium provide this and represent an exciting milestone in the history of the development."

Located on the southern edge of the historic market town of Buckingham, Windsor Park features stylish contemporary homes and fabulous facilities and is designed to the highest standards to reflect the area's character and landscape.
