Pupils in Chinnor entertain at Christmas fayre thanks to housebuilder donation

More than 150 children in Chinnor enjoyed their school Christmas Fayre, which included singing, dancing and a visit from Father Christmas – thanks to a housebuilder donation.

Bovis Homes donated £250 to St Andrew’s C of E Primary School for the special festive event, which included winter games, crafts, a tombola and a children’s raffle.

The 350-pupil school is close to Bovis Homes’ Chiltern View location, off Lower Icknield Way, where the housebuilder’s new housing range is proving popular.

Caroline Crosby, co-chair of the school's Parent, Teachers and Friends Association, said: "Bovis Homes’ generous donation is greatly appreciated by our school. All money raised goes directly back into the school, to pay for a school trip for each child, music lessons for Year 3, sports equipment and more!

"The fayre is a fantastic fun day for all the family and the second biggest fundraiser for St Andrew's School Association - the first being our Summer Carnival in July. Everyone enjoyed a huge amount of festive fun!"

Older and former primary school pupils helped out on stalls while the Key Stage One choir – for youngsters aged 5 to 7 – plus 20 youngsters from Janelle's School of Dance, in Chinnor, performed.

The Birch boasts a front-facing study/dining room and centrepiece living room. There is an impressive kitchen with an island and an adjoining sitting area, which has feature bi-fold doors. Upstairs there is a stylish white bathroom suite, five spacious bedrooms and two en suites.

Home Exchange is offered to buyers at Chiltern View. The Bovis Homes purchasing scheme sees the housebuilder buying the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming, stress-building house chains. It also means that purchasers can stay in their current house until their new home is ready.

To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.

Also, the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme is available. Home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.

Buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of Bovis Homes' Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder dealing with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

Bovis Homes’ new housing collection, which includes two to five-bedroom homes that have been designed and developed by the company, are named after British trees and focus on well-proportioned exteriors with a real sense of light and flow on the inside.
