Rosemary marks 80th birthday in new-build Witney home with family and pet Springer!

A green-fingered home owner in Witney who celebrated her 80th birthday at her new-build property with family has praised her housebuilder for its spacious design. Rosemary Gibbens moved into a two-bedroom house at Bovis Homes’ – part of the newly-formed Vistry Group – Windrush Place to be closer to her son Roy, daughter-in-law Lisa and the family springer spaniel – and they all recently marked Rosemary’s milestone. View the video of Rosemary and her family at her new-build home, here. Rosemary loves the open-plan layout, spacious bedrooms and generous garden, which Roy and Lisa helped design, and enjoys nothing more than sitting in her back garden when the weather allows. She said: “What’s impressed me most with Bovis Homes is the design and space, particularly the bedrooms but in the whole house. Also the garden, which is lovely and large, and well done by my son and family – I spend as much time as I can out here.” Roy and Lisa, who have lived in Witney for 10 years, live a short walk away and are very happy to have Rosemary so close by, in a modern home that suits all her needs. “We’re delighted with my mother’s new home at Windrush Place,” Roy said. “What stood out for me, when dealing with Bovis Homes on a sales perspective, was there was no pressure, the sales team were well informed about the development and the house, and they were very efficient with us. “We’ve had experience of various new homebuilders over the years, and Bovis Homes certainly stood out in terms of quality, and willingness to engage with us and our needs.” Lisa, who works in Oxford city centre and appreciates the balance between city and rural life, says the housebuilder made Rosemary’s move stress free. She added: “We’re really happy with this Bovis Homes property. It’s just a great place to live and one of the best things about Windrush Place is the green space around it. There are dog parks, natural woodland areas and we’ve got such a large number of circular walks in the area as well. It’s a beautiful part of Oxfordshire. “Moving home can be a stressful time, and with Rosemary just turning 80, it’s been really wonderful having the support we’ve had from Bovis Homes. They have gone over and above to help us and keep us informed all the way. Once Rosemary moved in, they also did so much to support us. Little things you wouldn’t have expected, they were more than happy to oblige. I highly recommend them as a builder.” Sharon Nash, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes, added Windrush Place was popular with a variety of home owners who appreciate living in attractive surroundings, working from home, but with good transport connections to Oxford, London and other parts of the country. She said: “Windrush Place offers the best of both worlds for our home owners and we are delighted that Rosemary is enjoying the quality and comfort of a Bovis Home property so much, and had a lovely birthday.”
