Bovis Homes' Marketa Madrova and Gyorgy Dohnal
Delighted Gyorgy Dohnal, based at Bovis Homes’ Kingsmere location, off Pioneer Way, proposed to Marketa Madrova, sales advisor at Radford Semele, near Leamington Spa, on a trip home to Hungary.

The duo got engaged in Budapest and are now planning their wedding – as house sales to couples and families are flying at Kingsmere thanks, in part, to its close proximity to shopping outlet Bicester Village.

Gyorgy, who revealed three-bedroom homes were very popular at the location, said: “Marketa and I are both delighted to be engaged. It was a very quiet engagement, but we were surrounded by family and it’s one we’ll never forget.

“Marketa is such a great friend and companion and she works very hard at our successful Radford Semele location. I feel extremely lucky.

“Kingsmere is in such high demand from couples and families – both first-time buyers and second steppers.

“Bicester Village is a huge draw and we are right next to the park and ride. There are great
transport links to Oxford and London. We’re also very close to the countryside and there are some great schools nearby.

“We have some homes from our new range and the Government’s Help to Buy scheme is proving particularly popular – as are three-bedroom homes here!”

Gyorgy met Marketa – who is from the Czech Republic – after he moved to the UK 14 years ago.

“We’re so happy to be engaged – it was a wonderful moment – and we can’t wait for our wedding,” added Marketa. “Before then, we have lots of quality homes to continue to sell!”

Properties from Bovis Homes’ new collection are named after British trees and focus on well-proportioned exteriors with a real sense of light and flow on the inside.

With the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.

Bicester Village, a major UK tourist attraction, is home to more than 160 boutiques from world-leading designers and offers discounts all year round.
