Shedding old storage at Landkey Community Primary Academy
- 21 Jul 21
Landkey Community Primary Academy in North Devon now has two new sheds to store equipment in, thanks to Bovis Homes. The housebuilder donated two new ones after learning that the school’s previous sheds were in very poor condition. Headteacher at Landkey Community Primary Academy, Kate Fairbrother commented: “We are thankful to Bovis Homes for their generous donation as it has enabled us to store our play equipment and PTA supplies safely and securely, without worrying the sheds will leak in poor weather! “They also kindly erected them for us, so we’re incredibly grateful. School funds are not widely available for items like sheds but they’re essential and it will make a huge difference to everyone.” Emma Smith, sales and marketing director, commented: “We’re delighted to support the school. Our company offers employees two volunteering days a year and so a member of the Health and Safety team kindly used his days to erect the sheds over weekends, to comply with the school’s covid restrictions. The last year has been particularly challenging for teachers and pupils and so we’re very happy to help in this small way.” Landkey Community Primary Academy is close to Bovis Homes’ Cherry Fields development in Bickington where a new show home has just been launched. The company supports many community initiatives near to its developments.
