Sherborne International Film Festival receives donation from Bovis Homes
The Sherborne International Film Festival, a four-day charity fundraiser in Dorset, enjoyed another successful run this year, with the help of a welcome boost from a local housebuilder.

Bovis Homes donated £150 to the event, run by the Rotary Club of Sherborne Castles. The Festival went on to raise £2,300 for charity while providing the community of Sherborne with the opportunity to see foreign films which would not otherwise be shown locally.

Georgie Marshall, sales advisor at Bovis Homes Mildenhall development in Sherborne, said: “This wonderful community event at the Powell Theatre showcased an exciting range of award-winning foreign films of all genres from drama to action, comedy to thriller.

“The funds raised from the event go predominantly towards Mercy Ships, a charity that deploys hospital ships to some of the poorest countries in the world, delivering vital, free healthcare to people in desperate need. This great cause, along with the others that the Rotary Club supports, made us proud to be a supporter of this event.”

Bovis Homes is part of the Sherborne community with its Mildenhall development, which currently has brand-new four and five-bedroom homes available. Located just one mile away from Sherborne's bustling town centre, residents have easy access to an array of shops, pubs and services. There are also great schools, health and leisure facilities on the doorstep.

For a limited time only, house-hunters in the South West can also enjoy special festive gifts worth £3,000. Homebuyers have the chance to pick from a Winter Warmer, Christmas Paid For, or a New York Adventure package. Find out more about these seasonal gifts at www.bovishomes.co.uk.
