Bovis Homes to build 205 new homes in Wellington
First-time buyers, families and downsizers are set to benefit as a national housebuilder has achieved planning permission for a new location in Wellington, Somerset.

Bovis Homes has been granted permission to build 205 homes on a new development, named Blackdown View, offering plenty of opportunities for local house hunters.

Emma Smith, regional sales and marketing director at Bovis Homes - part of the newly formed Vistry Group - said: “Blackdown View is an exciting development that will offer three, four and five-bedroom homes from our latest collection of houses, which will be ideal for first-time buyers, families and those looking to down-size.

“The location has excellent connections to the M5 while also boasting lovely rural views of the Blackdown Hills and Quantock Hills, providing a scenic setting for residents.

“The town also offers plenty of amenities including independent shops, excellent schools and a supermarket nearby. There is a museum and a unique 1930s cinema in Wellington too.

“The development layout is really lovely too, with a central open, green space, creating a really attractive area.”

Taunton is just seven miles from Wellington. To promote sustainable travel in the area, Bovis Homes will provide Blackdown View residents with travel vouchers when they move in.

These can be utilised from the new bus stop that Bovis Homes will also fund as part of the building works in Wellington, adding to the accessibility of the new location.
