Homebuyers working in key public sector jobs have been snapping up new-build properties in the South West, thanks to a special purchase package.

The Bovis Homes’ Key Workers scheme assists those who work in the NHS, police force, education, fire service, Ministry of Defence, environmental health service, Highways England Traffic Officer service, prison service, probation service or local authorities to get on the housing ladder.

The scheme is available on the housebuilder’s popular locations across the region, from Sherborne in Dorset to Sherford in Plymouth and Bude in Cornwall.

Faye Cooper, marketing manager at Bovis Homes’ South West region, said: “At Bovis Homes, we understand the time pressure that key workers face, and the scheme is designed to take some of the stress out of buying a new home.

“The Key Workers scheme also aims to minimise the potential costs of buying a new home and is proving popular across our region.”

The tailored packages include a price discount of £500 for every £25,000 spent on a Bovis Home, which equates to 2% of the list price, along with flooring up to a value of £3,000.

“The Key Workers scheme is a great opportunity for people who do important work for our communities to get something back. It’s lovely to see individuals and families move into their dream house with a little extra help from Bovis Homes.”
