Stadhampton sparkles over festive season thanks to housebuilder donation

Bovis Homes colleagues donate to Stadhampton Parish Council
Stadhampton residents have received a welcome boost this festive season, as a local housebuilder donated £200 towards two Christmas trees for the church and new lights to light up the tree on the green.

The donation by Bovis Homes was presented to Stadhampton Parish Council at the village Christmas Fair, which saw many locals attend to browse the stalls and admire the Christmas trees that had been decorated by the local primary school and Little Bears nursery students.

Paul Bennison, marketing manager in Bovis Homes’ Western region, said: “It is wonderful to be able to support the growing community in Stadhampton, especially at this time of year when it’s all about coming together.”

“The Christmas Fair was a lovely event and it was great to be able to see the donation from Bovis Homes put to such good use by residents.”

Angela Pawley, local resident and event organiser, said: “Bovis Homes’ donation has been hugely beneficial this year in bringing our community together. The lighting of our village Christmas tree on the green involves our village primary school and the nursery, and for the first time, this year, was arranged to coincide with the Christmas Fair in the village hall.”

“This generous donation enabled us to buy two artificial trees and sets of lights which can be used annually. Families and visitors attending the many events that take place over the Christmas period can admire these lovely decorations and the illumination of the tree on the green always makes people smile. Thank you to everyone who has been part of making this happen.”

Angela added: “Bovis Homes has supported our village throughout the year, with donations and by promoting various local events, making the new residents in the new Bovis Homes development a part of what our village has to offer as a community.”

Bovis Homes’ Hampton Meadow development is located in Stadhampton within easy reach of Oxford, the M40 and rail services to London. The village boasts thatched, grade II listed buildings and a church dating back to the 13th century. Homebuyers can choose from a selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes, all carefully designed to suit today's busy lifestyles.
