Starks engineer move to the perfect home

Timing was everything when the time-strapped Starks went hunting for a property in tip-top condition.

Carl and his wife Caroline had been looking for the right home for a number of months for themselves and nine-year-old daughter Kelly, having already found a buyer for their previous property. It was at this point that they received an email from Bovis Homes.

Carl explains: "It was perfect timing really. We had already found a buyer for our house and were completely focussed on finding our new home, when the email from Bovis Homes popped into my inbox saying there was just one home remaining at the Meadowbank location in Sittingbourne. It was the right size and in a great location for us, so we decided to take a look."

The home in question was the four bedroom, detached Salisbury. It features an open plan sitting room and dining area with French doors to the rear garden, a modern fitted kitchen with integrated appliances and en suite and built-in wardrobes in bedroom one. .

With Carl working as an engineering manager for a lifting equipment company in London, working on many of the largest projects in the capital such as Crossrail, and Caroline] recently returned to University to study Human Nutrition, the family doesn't have time for DIY and home improvements.

"We were looking for a brand new property so that when we moved in, we wouldn't need to do any decorating, and could just start enjoying it straight away.  We also wanted something with good parking, away from main roads and with a nice kitchen and en suite with the master bedroom," explains Carl.

"When we looked around the development we were impressed. The plot appealed to us because as soon as you walked in it had a nice homely feel to it and it was on a quiet road with no through traffic, which was perfect."

Once they had decided to buy and made their reservation, the Starks were impressed by the support they received from the Bovis Homes team.

"The support from Barbara in the Meadowbank sales office was very good and she assisted greatly along the way. She went further than expected in chasing solicitors for updates to keep the exchange as near as possible to the date required."

And now they've moved in, the Starks can get back to their busy family life.

Carl says: "We're very happy in our new home and beginning to settle in this community now and we'd definitely recommend Bovis Homes to others based on our experience."
