Bovis Homes has served up a smart new look for the tennis coaching team at Winchester Racquets and Fitness club.

The leading home builder is sponsoring matching kit for the eight full-time coaches at the near 2,000-member club, which is based less than two miles from Bovis Homes' popular Winchester Village location.

The kit features Bovis Homes' distinctive hummingbird emblem, as well the Winchester Racquets and Fitness club logo.

Winchester Racquets and Fitness is a not-for-profit organisation, so any surplus money it makes from its activities is spent on further improving its facilities for the benefit of its members, which includes hundreds of youngsters.

General manager Billy Kerr said: "We're absolutely thrilled to have received this support from Bovis Homes.

"The new kit means the full-time tennis coaches at the club look as professional as the lessons they provide, as well as promoting an increased sense of pride in being associated with the club.

"We have nearly 2,000 members, with 17 tennis courts, six squash courts and a very busy fitness centre as well.

"We have 600 juniors aged from four to 18 coming every week on our coaching programme and our adult section is very healthy too - one member is still playing at the age of 92!"

Winchester Racquets and Fitness offers a full programme of adult and junior tennis courses to suit all abilities, from high performance level to total beginner.

Hollie Lockhart, marketing manager for Bovis Homes' Southern Counties region, added: "The success of the club and the significant part that it plays within the local community is highlighted by the number of people who flock through its doors every week.

"We're really pleased to be supporting the club's commitment to providing sport for all, whether you're on court just for fun or dreaming of being the next Andy Murray!"
