The Bluebells set to bloom early in Pershore!

- 20 Oct 15

Construction has now begun on the newest part of Pershore, with 21 homes being built off the B4536 Defford Road.

This new addition to the local community, called 'Bluebells', is creating around 50 jobs during its construction and will be providing much-needed new properties to boost local housing stock.

And house builder Bovis Homes has promised to minimise disruption to the existing community and surrounding residents as this new location takes shape.

"We pride ourselves in working with local communities as we create new neighbourhoods," said Bovis Homes Western Managing Director, Supriya Ray. "We'll be doing just that in Pershore, where we will look to keep any inconvenience to the public to an absolute minimum.

"Caring for the local environment is also a key part of the way we work and we could not start construction on these new homes until all the necessary ecological mitigation measures had been implemented.

"Now we are ready to go and we are excited to be providing some more high quality homes for local people, including properties designated as affordable homes to help tackle the housing challenge in the region.

"These new homes have been designed to complement the character of the surrounding area, and we are already advertising them off-plan on our website. The first homes will be ready to move into early in 2016."

The new location has been designed to offer properties for all kinds of buyers, and will have a selection of two to five-bedroom homes.

The building of the new homes will bring further benefits to the community as Bovis Homes is contributing more than £150,000 towards local services and infrastructure, such as off-site sport facilities, a play area and community buildings as part of the planning agreement.

Bovis Homes creates contemporary homes built to traditional standards and their properties include new kitchens with integrated appliances in the price and come with a 10-year warranty from the National House Building Council.
