The Chase is on at Wincanton

Bovis Homes continue to develop close ties with the Wincanton community, including offering support to the famous sporting venue just a furlong or two away from their new-home location!

The Chase has been taking shape at West Hill for almost five years, and in that time it has played host to school visits and community events.

Now Bovis Homes has sponsored the SW Handicap Hurdle at a recent race day at Wincanton racecourse - a close neighbour of the 200-home development.

The race was won by five-year-old chestnut gelding 'Deserter' and representatives from Bovis Homes were there to present the award to the owners and trainer.

"Wincanton is well known for its racing and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to sponsor this great race," says Wayne Bennett, South West Sales and Marketing Director for Bovis Homes. "The racecourse plays a major role in the local community and we've had a fantastic time being a part of the day."
