Three-year anniversary for Priors Lea, Paulton!

- 21 Jan 16

Our Priors Lea location based on the outskirts Paulton, has proved extremely popular with local house buyers since it was launched in December 2012, and is set to generate even more interest with the launch of a new phase of homes to celebrate its third anniversary!

With nearly 100 homes now purchased and occupied, a real community feel has developed at Priors Lea. "One of the key reasons for the popularity of the location has been the atmosphere and position of the village," said South West Sales and Marketing Director Wayne Bennett. "It's a lovely rural community, yet just 10 miles from Bath and 15 from Bristol. This makes it ideal for people commuting to jobs in those cities and enables them to take advantage of the more competitive house prices available in Paulton".

"We've just released our third phase of new homes, offering a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom properties. These high quality homes boast an all-inclusive specification which includes a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, recessed down lighters, ceramic tiled floors to bathrooms and en suites, towel rails, showers and shower screens over baths, en suites and built in wardrobes to most master bedrooms plus a host of others all included in the price."

Prior's Lea also offers a number of purchaser schemes to help get you moving, including Help to Buy, the Government backed initiative which means first time buyers and current home movers only require a 5% deposit.

The Home Exchange scheme helps those with properties to sell by purchasing their old homes for 100% local market value, saving time and money, whilst the Smooth Move option sees us working with local estate agents to help sell your home and cover the cost of the associated selling fees.

Paulton itself has a number of local shops providing day-to-day essentials, plus a supermarket about a mile-and-a-half away. A five minute drive to Midsomer Norton and you will find a range of local shops and a number of leading supermarkets. Just a 10 mile drive to Bath and you can enjoy city shopping in Regency grandeur, meanwhile a trip to Bristol offers impressive retail locations.

"A home at Priors Lea offers you the choice to enjoy a quieter country life or the buzz of city attractions within about a half hour's drive," said Wayne. "The village itself has lots of sports clubs and societies, plus its own indoor swimming pool and several pubs, so you'll never be short of things to do!"

The area also boasts two local nature reserves and the tiny Chivers Knoll woodland. Within a short drive you can enjoy the Grade two listed Mitton Lodge Gardens, take a steam ride on the East Somerset Railway, or take a trip to explore the famous Cheddar Caves and Gorge.

For those with families there are pre and primary schools within the village. Paulton's two preschool nurseries take youngsters from aged two-and-a-half years, while the Paulton Infants Schools takes four to seven-year-olds and the Junior School caters for the sevens to elevens. There are three further primary schools within 1.5 miles of the village. For senior pupils aged 11- 18, there are two schools within two miles, both providing sixth form facilities and less than three miles away Norton Radstock College.
