Vistry announced as finalist in coveted national customer satisfaction awards

A five-star housebuilder has been shortlisted as a finalist for a coveted national customer satisfaction award thanks to a unique new-build home project offering a bespoke learning experience. Vistry Group – which includes the Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands – is the only housebuilder in the running for the Innovation Award at the Institute of Customer Service’s UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2021. Vistry’s Unwrapped Home at Bovis Homes’ Emmbrook Place, in Wokingham, is a unique three-bedroom property with exposed pipework, wiring and joists, to provide customers with an informative journey through the build process. Guests can see straight up into the roof space from the downstairs kitchen, and read a number of information boards on their tour that explain what is going on in each room. Debbie Hulme, Vistry Group customer experience director, said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in the prestigious UK Customer Satisfaction Awards and that’s all down to the hard work of our innovative colleagues. Our customers are at the forefront of everything we do and the popular Unwrapped Home is an example of that. The team involved customers in the project itself which helped inform the experience for visitors now as they are taken through every stage of the build process.” Customers are taken on a room-by-room tour of the Unwrapped Home, ending up at a fully-dressed bedroom and en suite. An education centre has been built behind the property providing information and statistics for customers, students, teachers, housebuilder colleagues and all those who want to know more about the build process. Members of an advisory homebuyers’ panel, set up by Bovis Homes in 2017, were consulted before construction of the Unwrapped Home and have praised the final result. Roger Morton, change director at Vistry, said: “To be shortlisted for such a coveted award is a fantastic achievement and we eagerly look forward to the award ceremony. Customers on our homebuyers’ panel were very complimentary about the results of the Unwrapped Home and it has served as an impressive educational tool for customers, colleagues and pupils, as well as showing the quality of home that Vistry adheres to.” Vistry once again received a five-star rating from the Home Builders Federation, following the annual announcement of the industry’s customer satisfaction survey results earlier this year. Winners of the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2021 will be unveiled at an awards ceremony in London on 19th October.
