Vistry Group announces two senior promotions in its housebuilding operations

- 16 Jun 20

Vistry Group has announced two significant internal promotions within its housebuilding operations in the south of England.

Dawnet McLaughlin, managing director of Vistry Southern
Dawnet McLaughlin will take over as managing director of Vistry Southern. Dawnet joined Linden Homes – which is part of Vistry, along with Bovis Homes – five years ago, where she played a key role as commercial director in Guildford.

Dawnet replaces James Dunne who led the Southern Home Counties business successfully for two years, first as Bovis Homes and then as Vistry, before taking over the Southern business unit earlier this year. James will step down on 30th June.

Vistry also announces today that Brendan Evans will be promoted to director in charge of its Kent region, based in Kings Hill.

Brendan is currently finance director at Southern Homes Counties, and has been with the Group for three-and-a-half years. Brendan previously worked at Wates Construction for 15 years, holding various positions across the Maintenance and Contracting businesses, before he joined Bovis Homes.

Both appointments take effect from 1st July.

Graham Prothero, chief operating officer at Vistry Group, said of the appointments: “We are delighted to announce the appointments of Dawnet and Brendan. That these opportunities can be filled from within our own ranks is a testament to the rich pool of high-quality talent we have across Vistry Group.

Brendan Evans, director, Vistry Kent
“While we are, of course, sorry to see James go and would like to thank him for his contribution to the Group, I look forward to working with Dawnet and Brendan as we navigate the current challenges posed by Coronavirus and move the business forward.”
