House hunters and families from across Northamptonshire descended on Wellingborough at the weekend as the first properties were reserved at the launch of a much-anticipated new homes location.

The special event, which was hosted by local housebuilder Bovis Homes, saw the official opening of three show homes, accompanied by a host of family entertainment at the company’s brand-new Wendelburie Rise location.

As well as a chance to tour these first homes at Stanton Cross, there was a range of fun-filled activities including magic tricks from Britain’s Got Talent contestant Marc Spelmann, a chance to meet characters from children’s TV show PAW Patrol, as well as live music, popcorn and candy floss machines, and professional face painting.

Heather Suffield, marketing manager for Bovis Homes’ Northern Home Counties region, said: “We were delighted to see so many people come along to see the first new homes and enjoy the entertainment on offer. There was also lots of interest in the properties, with a number of visitors taking the opportunity to reserve some of the first homes here.

“It was great to talk to so many people about this new part of the community and share our exciting plans for this development as it grows.

The Wendelburie Rise sales team
“Our sales centre is open from 10am until 5pm daily, so anyone interested in finding out more about buying a new home at Wendelburie Rise should pop in and speak to a member of the team.”

The first show homes at Wendelburie Rise are also the first to be built as part of the wider Stanton Cross mixed-use development. A brand-new community on the eastern edge of the historic town of Wellingborough, Stanton Cross is a flagship development for the area. Once complete, it will offer 3,650 new properties, together with leisure, retail and office space. It will also bring new public parks, schools, and a doctor’s surgery.

The residential areas at Stanton Cross are divided into five distinct phases, each with their own unique character. The inaugural phase, Ise Valley View, plays host to Wendelburie Rise. Positioned at the heart of Stanton Cross, Ise Valley View overlooks the River Ise and the town of Wellingborough, and is close to the neighbourhood centre which will be home to shops, restaurants and leisure facilities.
