Witchford development nears key milestone
- 07 Oct 21
Almost a third of the homes on a new development in Witchford have now been built and occupied by their new residents. Bovis Homes is building a total of 170 homes at Pemberton Park, off Field End in the village, and has so far seen buyers move into 39 of the 132 new homes for private sale. Meanwhile, 10 of the 38 homes being delivered within the new neighbourhood as affordable housing for rent or shared ownership have also been completed and have new occupants. Sales Manager for Bovis Homes, Laura Thomas, said: “Construction work at Pemberton Park is progressing well and demand for the homes is high. “We have already delivered 39 private homes where people have completed and moved in. In addition to this, we have also finished 10 of the affordable properties which have provided homes for local people. “Bovis Homes is delivering much-needed new housing in the area and it is good to see a brand-new community already taking shape on the site.” Bovis Homes is delivering a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes at Pemberton Park, as well as creating a large public open space with a children’s play area and cycle path. Laura said: “We have had a lot of enquiries from people who were living around Cambridge but could not afford to buy in the city due to its prohibitively high prices. “They have realised that Pemberton Park provides high-quality new housing at very affordable prices, especially when compared to Cambridge. We have a range of homes from two to five-bedrooms and something to suit the needs of buyers at different stages on the property ladder. “We have just released a choice of superb five-bedroom executive homes – the Lime and the Florentina – and they, along with the four-bedroom Maple style of home, are creating a lot of interest. These impressive family homes overlook an area which includes trees, green open space and the play park. “Pemberton Park is in a great location in the sought-after village of Witchford, which is on the edge of Ely and well within the commuter belt for Cambridge. We expect demand to remain strong so we would advise anyone considering moving here to give us call as soon as they can.” There are currently two, three, four and five-bedroom homes available to reserve at Pemberton Park, with prices starting at £254,995.
