Home-hunters in Wokingham can visit a new-build location this weekend for the local launch of a national housebuilder’s new housing collection.

Bovis Homes' Aspen house type
Two show homes from Bovis Homes’ new range are being unveiled at Emmbrook Place, on Sunday.

Visitors can view the three-bedroom Cypress and four-bedroom Aspen show homes and enquire about other three, four and five-bedroom houses at the development, off Queens Road in Wokingham.

Hollie Lockhart, regional marketing manager at Bovis Homes, said: “We’re so excited to be revealing our two brand-new show homes from our new housing collection, our sales centre, and our latest phase at Emmbrook Place.

“This is such a popular location, attracting all types of home buyers - from couples to families and retirees.

“As well as high-quality builds and the delightful layout and space offered from our new properties, there is so much on the doorstep for owners to enjoy, including leisure activities and great school options.”

The Cypress includes an open-plan kitchen with a dining area and French doors to the garden, plus a master bedroom with an en suite.

Meanwhile, the Aspen has an open-plan kitchen with dining area, a separate sitting room, a study option, an en suite off the master bedroom, plus a double garage.

There are many purchasing schemes available to assist buying a Bovis Homes property. They include the Government’s Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, Smooth Move, Home Exchange and the Key Workers initiative.

Using the Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme, home buyers need just a five per cent cash deposit, with the Government providing an equity loan of up to 20 per cent of the value of the property being bought. Purchasers then need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage.

Buyers looking to sell their home can take advantage of Bovis Homes' Smooth Move scheme, which can save time and thousands of pounds, with the home builder dealing with the estate agent on the customer's behalf, as well as paying the fees.

Home Exchange sees the housebuilder purchasing the customer's current property, which means they can avoid all those estate agent fees and time-consuming, stress-building house chains. It also means that purchasers can say in their current house until their new home is ready.

To part-exchange their home, a customer’s current property must be valued at no more than 75 per cent of the new Bovis Home they wish to purchase. Bovis Homes will arrange for the buyer's property to be valued, then make them an offer based on the valuation.

Meanwhile, the Key Workers initiative offers great discounts to employees of certain public sector bodies.
