Wokingham house hunters can view naked truth as Unwrapped Home tells the new-build story

- 07 Nov 19

View our video: Homebuyers in Wokingham can now view exposed walls, ceilings and pipework by visiting a housebuilder’s unique brand-new property that explains the full story behind building a house.

Bovis Homes’ three-bedroom Unwrapped Home at Emmbrook Place, off Queens Road, offers a bespoke learning experience as visitors are walked through the different build stages – with joists, wiring and pipes on show in selected rooms.

Guests can see straight up into the roof space from the downstairs kitchen, and read a number of information boards that explains what is going on in each room, with the journey ending at a fully decorated bedroom with en suite.

House hunters will be able to view the new-look Spruce house type by appointment and the unwrapped property will also be available for school and university visits – with a new Education Centre also being built alongside it.

Emily Arnold, quality control manager at Bovis Homes, who helped launch the Unwrapped Home to local representatives and key industry figures, said: “This is an outstanding property that highlights every aspect of the build process.

“Visitors will be able to clearly see the different stages of construction – including every factor that needs to be taken into account when it comes to health and safety such as wiring, plumbing, structure and design – so that we can give our customers full transparency on the homes they dream about.

"We want to take our customers through the journey that their new Bovis Home will go through during construction and to demonstrate the quality of build and quality process followed by Bovis Homes."

“Our new Education Centre is also looking fantastic, with models and interactive games to help teach students and visitors about every aspect of our housebuilding.”

Students from schools, colleges and universities can visit for educational purposes and groups will have space in the Education Centre to learn more about the Unwrapped Home and building process.

House hunters visiting Emmbrook Place can also view new three-bedroom Cypress and four-bedroom Aspen show homes.
