Worthing first-timers back Help to Buy after snapping up new-build in their home town

First-time buyers from Worthing, who were desperate to stay in their home town, have praised a Government scheme that has helped them do just that.

Klaudia Gierczak, her fiancé Adrian Roberts and his son Elvis, 8, are “delighted” to be staying by the sea after buying a Bovis Homes property at the housebuilder’s Saxons Plain location in Cornfield Way, off Fulbeck Avenue.

The film buffs, who also love going to the gym, now hope to buy a French Bulldog to add to the family as they enjoy their new four-bedroom homes’ surroundings, near South Downs National Park.

Klaudia, who has lived in Worthing for ten years, said: “We have chosen a new-build home as we liked the location, close to our family, and the layout of the house. Our favourite part of the property is the lounge, where we can sit and relax after a long day at work.

“We have Elvis here with us every Thursday and every other weekend. Elvis loves his own bedroom with the bunk bed and his favourite, PlayStation.

"We used Help to Buy to purchase this house. It was very important for us to be able to purchase it with a 5 per cent deposit and we would definitely recommend it to others."

Klaudia has a job in sales and once a week works from her new study at home. Both Klaudia and manufacturing manager Adrian now have a shorter commute thanks to their move.

Adrian, who has lived in Worthing all his life, said Bovis Homes had made the house buying experience a lot sweeter.

Bovis Homes attracted us with its great customer service and the purchasing options that were offered to us,” he said. “The sales team was very helpful throughout the whole journey.

“We're delighted with our move and that we could re-locate to a new-build home within Worthing. We both love Worthing as it's nice and quiet and close to the sea.

“We both love movies and go to cinema quite often. We also use the gym on a regular basis, which is why having David Lloyd so close is ideal.”

The Help to Buy – Equity Loan scheme is available exclusively on new-build homes to first-time buyers and existing owners.

Using the scheme, buyers can get an equity loan from the Government for up to 20 per cent of the property, meaning the purchaser only needs a five per cent deposit and to secure a mortgage for 75 per cent of the property price.
